Amazing pool/steam/"Scented" Sauna, good quality rooms, cleanliness meets a standard, very well displayed hotel when entering with some beautiful random things for furniture. Oties is a dessert Cafe that is part of the complex, the banana milkshake was divine and I definitely advise a visit, they use full cream milk and lovely flavourings with the milkshakes. We paid for a spring break which includes a 2 course dinner and a glass of prosecco each. > The Restaurant is where we were let down, waiting 20 minutes for drinks/food orders to be taken spite multiple staff members walking past and looking directly at us, the menu is narrow so expected the food to be good for that obvious reason. Upon ordering quite a traditional starter "Classic Prawn, Mango & Crayfish Cocktail" We were told this would cost £4 extra each, I straight away stated the obvious - That's near enough the price of any given starter in most restaurants and pubs and that it should be included as part of the two course dinner. The starter was fine spite not being as fresh as it could be, they were clearly pre-prepped and put in the fridge instead of prepping it on request which is obviously what you expect when you go to a high quality establishment. --------------- The Grilled Fillet of Scottish Salmon With king prawns, wilted spring greens, buttered new potatoes, sauce vierge. When this dish came it was well presented, but quite frankly tasteless, I also noticed that the Salmon was a from frozen fillet that was cut in half. --------------- Thai Beef & Rice Noodle Salad Daikon radish, beansprouts, pickled cucumber, coriander & chilli dressing. To our shock they also wanted an additional £4.50 for this dish, obviously you also expect this to be fully included in any 2/3 course dinner that has been pre-bought. The beef was chewy and gristly, the noodles were semi-hard and undercooked, the whole dish was swimming in soy sauce and loaded abnormally with salt, I also noticed the mixed veg was also from frozen. -------------- Truffle & parmesan fries £5.95 This was the worst one, Upon paying top price for some good quality fries, they came out and the fries were standard, there was absolutely no sign of Truffle on the fries and it was a big let down. Upon addressing this with one of the members of staff, she stated that its actually "Truffle Oil", I stated that it should obviously say that on the menu (She agreed) I can confirm there was not even a hint of Truffle Oil. Even worse, she then takes it back to the kitchen, the Chef clearly had a stiff upper lip and she brought the chips back and said "It has Truffle Oil on it I have watched him do it" However upon tasting and smelling the chips, there was still no hint of Truffle on the chips, I don't like being lied to over a portion of chips, that's for sure. --------------- Breakfast Buffet The Breakfast Buffet was well made, bacon good quality, breakfast sausages good average quality, premium hash browns and even a varie
